August 11 - 15, 2005. This was a vacation we took with just Ashley. We stayed at the Petoskey KOA and took day trips. The main purpose of the vacation was to visit the lighthouse she studied for her 4th grade project which included making a replica. Her lighthouse was Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse in Mackinaw City. We took her replica with us and they displayed it in the visitor's center while we toured the lighthouse - they also gave us free tickets! We also visited the Upper Tahquamenon Falls, spent a day on Mackinac Island and went to a fish hatchery. Ashley celebrated her 11th birthday on this trip.
