August 29 - September 7, 2009 Our trip started at Sleeping Bear Dunes where we camped at Platte River Campground. We were able to get some awesome photos of the girls with beautiful scenery. We got our exercise climbing the dunes, but alas, have still never made it to Lake Michigan. From there we traveled to Petoskey, stopped to look at Seul Choix Pointe Lighthouse, the lighthouse Mya studied and made a replica of for her 4th grade project, onward to Munising and took in the Pictured Rocks tour, a glassbottom boat shipwreck tour and looked at area waterfalls, headed over to Tahquamenon Falls and hiked there to see those fabulous falls, with our final destination at Mackinaw City. We spent time a day on Mackinac Island, just relaxed at the campground one day and the finale being the experience of the Mackinaw Bridge Walk before the long drive home. What a great vacation with a lot of fun and good times!
