On September 19th we left Indian River and stopped off at Mackinaw City. They have lots of RV spots right on the main road and many of us took advantage. But in September, the city is not too crowded. This fast food restaurant came highly recommended. While it may appear Terri is eating fish - not so. Denny ate fried whitefish while Terri had chicken fingers. Good meal. Our delicious treasures! Chocolate peanut butter fudge and chocolate, vanilla & banana taffy. Our view of the bridge on the way to Sault St. Marie. It was a bright sunny day - 65!We arrived at the Soo Locks Campground around 4:00 after stopping at Meijer to pick up a few grocery items. What a site we had here. Right near all the action.Within the next 1 1/2 hours 4 freighters came passing by. This is what Denny wanted to do, sit and watch the boats pass by.Tomorrow we would be on one of these! We will see this tugboat again later loading supplies on an ore freighter. The next day we took our Soo Locks Boat Tour. The ticket office was just down the road from our campground.
